Hey everyone~ I'm still in hiatus mode technically, but I had a great idea and its probably better to get it all in motion sooner rather than later. (for those who don't know, I'm in hiatus mode just doing things for myself, since I've been so stressed lately x.x)
So I was watching TV today, when this idea hit me for a contest! It should be a fun, challenging and unique contest for artists and writers alike! The contest is based on the same concept as the TV show Chopped, where you get several ingredients (or in our case, themes) that you must use in the dish (or drawing/literature). Its also going to be an elimination style contest, like in the show. More details below!

To Sign Up!
Since this contest is elimination style, I will need to know before the competition starts who will be participating! To sign up for the contest, please FAVORITE THIS JOURNAL! You have until July 10th to sign up or remove yourself from the competition, after that, whoever has favorite this journal is in for the whole ordeal.
Format!
This contest will have a very peculiar way of doing things, as normal contests on dA go. Once the competition starts, each person will be put into a group of 3 other artists or writers whom you will be initially competing against. Everyone will receive a note with the 3 mystery themes which must be included in the entry, or you will automatically be disqualified. You will have 1-2 weeks to complete your entry and note it to me, if I do not receive your entry you will be disqualified. Within 3 days of the end of the round, winners for each group will be announced, and they will move on to the next round. Winners of each round will receive a small prize (more details below). Each round will be the same (but with different themes, of course).
Rules for Entries!
Entries must abide by deviantART rules! Each entry must include the three mystery themes for the round, or the competitor will face disqualification. An entry may include more themes, but it is not required. It is suggested that in the artists' comment with the entry that you include a brief explanation of the usage of themes within the picture or story. Entries may be of any medium or style.
Judging!
Judging will be based on creativity (how you use/represent the themes), presentation (quality, aka quick sketch Vs. highly detailed full colour drawing, skill does not matter) and impact (how much the overall work makes a lasting impression).
Prizes! (update!)
Winners from each group will receive a prize of 15-50
(depends on how many competitors and prizes we have in the end).
1st Place Over All: 200 , full colour chibi drawing from Nobody, a complete story (up to three parts) of any subject, fandom or pairing from Nobody
2nd Place Over All: 100, line art chibi from Nobody, a one shot of any subject, fandom or pairing from Nobody
3rd Place Over All: 50, sketch chibi from Nobody, a a poem/song of any subject, fandom or pairing from Nobody
I would like to add that you are welcome to donate prizes as well! I'd love to be able to give out better prizes for everyone who worked so hard!
